Quality Standard

Our holiday homes are independently assessed every year. We market 3* or higher accommodation and actively encourage continuous improvement.

Guests are asked to complete a property review shortly after they have finished their holiday. A review form is also available at reception and can be completed prior to departure. All guest comments are sent to an independent assessor and your views are also passed on to the owner.

Thanks very much. We were delighted with the cottage, and it really was one of the best rental properties we have stayed in. Everything we needed was there and it was all clean and tidy. Thanks so much.

We stayed August 2022. This is our 2nd time staying at Maenporth and it won't be the last for good reason. With a young family Maenporth offers something for us all. Set in relaxing/ beautiful grounds with amazing views, the pool and play area and having the beach so close is fantastic plus the Cove restaurant is just amazing! Along with the perfect homely cottage we couldn't ask for more. Thanks, Maenporth, see you again soon.

65 Lower Maen was a wonderful as ever. We’ve stayed in this beautiful property a number of times and at different times of the year. It’s beautifully furnished and equipped with every conceivable thing anyone could want for a wonderful holiday. Always spotlessly clean and so thoughtfully decorated and set out. Maenporth Estate is as lovely as ever as well - such a peaceful and beautiful place to be. The leisure facilities are excellent, the grounds beautifully kept and the beach and cafe keep us coming back! We’ve already booked for twice in 2022!

Our third time staying in 65 and we keep returning which says it all. What a week – day after day of sunshine. Walks, garden visits, body boarding and cycling. We will be back.

We love Maenporth. It’s a pleasure every time we come. We love sports so table tennis, swimming pool, park and football has been so fun and entertaining. The beachy sunset is a pleasure to look at as is the sunrise. The cottage is lovely and so is the beach and sea. Thank you for our stay.

We had a wonderful stay this summer in 65 Lower Maen Cottages. The standard of accommodation was extremely high and second to none. It was beautifully presented with absolutely everything we could possibly have needed both inside and out. Our daughter also had a house on the estate but it although very nice could not compare. The estate was also beautifully landscaped and maintained. The swimming pool was a wonderful bonus and we made good use of it. The beach was very near and much enjoyed by our family. Despite Covid, the estate felt safe, uncrowded and a world away from everyone else.

What a delightful cottage in a stunning setting. The estate is so peaceful and beautiful. Our 1- and 3-year-olds loved playing in the gardens and loved using the swimming pool and playing football and tennis every day. We had fantastic weather each day and loved visiting the beach and Cove restaurant. We also enjoyed a great trip to the Seal Sanctuary in Helston and had a lovely meal at the Ferry Boat Inn. We cannot wait to visit this lovely cottage again. Thank you.

We had a welcome break for the family and loved ones in what seems to be a very strange year. The serene setting left much to think about. I will be sure to return soon. Thank you for a lovely home for the week.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at 65 Lower Maen Cottages for our first family holiday with our seven-week-old daughter in September 2020. It was the perfect getaway as a young family, and we were lucky to also have my parents staying in the cottage next door. The cottage is beautifully decorated, spacious and clean and has all the kitchen amenities you need for cooking and hosting large groups. The on-site swimming pool and tennis courts were fantastic, and the grounds are beautiful. There was clearly great efforts and additional procedures that had been made re: COVID-19 which were very reassuring. With only being a few minutes’ walk from Maenporth beach and its beach shack and The Cove restaurant, it’s a fabulous location. Would recommend to families and we would stay again!

It has been 5 years since we last stayed in 65 Lower Maen Cottages. It is definitely one of our favourites at Maenporth. We had a great week bodyboarding, walks around Kynance and the traditional visit to Glendurgan Gardens. Here’s to the next visit.

The cottage was spacious and clean. Extremely well equipped kitchen and even a great games cupboard, including body boards & tennis rackets - fantastic addition to a well thought out family holiday home. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, plenty of storage for clothes and 3 bathrooms, even a washing machine and tumble dryer which was a godsend for drying towels after swimming or beach days. The cottage has views of the sea and lovely patio area with plenty of outdoor seating, large table and nice safe enclosed green space for the kids to play out. We even made use of the mini kettle bbq to toast marshmallows on! We used the pool 3 times and found there was plenty of availability even though we had to book and there were restricted numbers due to Covid. The staff on site were extremely professional and helpful. Love the clean, beautiful landscaped environment of Maenporth Estate. It’s well laid out, lovely tennis courts and green area for kicking a ball about, and of course the location to the beach is just perfect!

We have just returned from our holiday at Maenporth Estate. We have stayed there the last nine consecutive years. We are three generations staying in a three bedroom house. The Leisure Centre is marvellous with an indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi ,sauna and changing rooms / showers. Unfortunately this year with Covid-19, the sauna and changing rooms were out of bounds, and also the table tennis table and pool table out of bounds, but it certainly did not spoil our holiday. The two tennis courts, play area and football field are very welcoming. The beautiful sandy beach is just a five minutes walk away. All the staff are also very professional and welcoming. There are some lovely walks from the beach, over the headland to Swanpool or to Mawnan Smith. There is a large ASDA supermarket five minute drive away too which is very handy. 65 Lower Maen Cottages was superb, five star accommodation. Three bedrooms, ensuite, family bathroom ,downstairs wash room plus laundry of washing machine and tumble dryer. The grounds of the Estate are glorious. Certainly can not fault anything, so much so we have already booked for next year!

We thought the cottage was excellent, a real home from home. Very well equipped and well thought out. It’s the little touches that make all the difference, lovely decor, fan isolation switches, hooks on backs of doors - the things I always say I would do if I had a holiday cottage! Excellent WiFi with no complaints despite 3 teenagers! The Estate was lovely as ever, beautiful grounds and we used the park and tennis courts. The children even managed a cheeky swim this morning once the pool opened. We spent a lot of time on the beach which was so handy, despite the climb up the hill!

What a delightful cottage in a perfect setting. We visited the first week after lockdown so couldn't use the leisure facilities, but the beach was beautiful. We will definitely be back. Thank you.

The cottage was delightful in every aspect. So much thought had gone into the interior, and when the sun shone, the view outside was perfect. What a delightful cottage in a perfect setting. It was the first week after the lockdown so no Leisure facilities for us unfortunately. We will definitely be back. Thank you

We had a great week here- thank you! This is one of the best houses we have stayed in- felt like a real home from home! We loved how well equipped the kitchen was. Really appreciated the quality of everything. It was a peaceful and relaxing week being able to use the pool. The spa was a bonus too. Overall, a great place to stay.
